Middle School Band
About Middle School Band
Middle School Band students have band every day for an hour. Students that do not own their own instruments can borrow a school instrument, however, students with their own instruments tend to have more success than those that don't. We will continue to work out of the red "Standard of Excellence" method book. If you want to purchase your own, you can order one on Amazon.com or other online retailers.
Band students will be required to come to class prepared for class every day. This means, instruments, music and books, and a pencil. Students must practice for a minimum of one hour per week. Practice Logs are due every Monday for full credit. Partial credit is awarded for late work, and no points if it is turned in a week late. (Unless there is a prearranged absence, or excused absence). If you have questions about my policy, or would like to let me know about pre-arranged absences, you may email me through the contact link above.
EXTRA HELP!
Mrs. Morse is also available every day before school (at 7:30) or after school (until at least 3:30) for extra help. Weather you need note reading help, note playing help, rhythms, or anything else music related. If you don't take the time to ask, I may not know you are struggling!
